There was a sister from another hall that I used to see at every single assembly. She acted as if she was slightly mentally challenged, and she latched onto me like I was her long lost best friend. The last straw was when I was pregnant with my third, and she followed me around all day telling everyone - including people from my own hall - that I was pregnant and that I already had 2 boys. She drove me absolutely nuts.

Tonight I celebrate a personal milestone...my 1000 post. Now the big decision...chocolate or extra alcohol or both
by StoneWall inyeah i know its taken me almost 5 years to reach 1000 post and many of you get that in a few months.. but i do take long extended breaks from the forums (especially in summer months for sun an fun).. i've seen where others had made a thread on celebrating this particular point of being a member on here and thoguht well that sounds fun so i will too.. plus considering how close we are to the "end of this present wicked system of things", and that it was going to happen any day now, and right around the corner, i figured i'd not make it long enough to hit 1000 post.
lol.
anyways hope this post finds all of you out there in good health, with plenty of wealth and enjoying your life to its fullest.

PRIVATE THOUGHTS in others: do you have a right to judge them?
by Terry inthe purpose of this thread is to stimulate discussion about where private thoughts become the concern of "others".. can we live a secret life unknown to everybody else?
is it anybody's business?
do we have a right to the thoughts we think?.

the thoughts in my head have no meaning until I act upon them. However, the minute I act in harmony with my thoughts I become liable for those thoughts.

Congregation had to relocate Memorial...thanks to me
by Shepherd Book inso, the two local congregations were planning to hold their memorial together at 7:30 at the local community center, but they had to make a last-minute change to their own hall, and i'm pretty sure it was because of me.. let me explain.... at work on monday afternoon, a co-worker returned from her lunchbreak and showed me the memorial invitation that was waiitng in her door when she went home for lunch.
i noticed the sticker on the back indicated the memorial was being held, not at the local hall, but at the community center.
from a past (non-jw) event i attended there, i knew they didn't allow alcohol (unless you pay for security guards), so i wrote to the center's coordinator:.

They should have known about the rule on alcohol and taken steps to get a security guard ahead of time. Sounds like they were trying to sneak the wine rather than doing the right thing.

I went through a period of intense turmoil and stress when I left the borg. I was only in for about 12 years, so I think what a person goes through trying to get out when they were born in must be very hard. I think therapy could be helpful.

That is so hard to deal with. When we were first exiting the borg I was really freaked out whenever I would get a phone call or see one of the local dubs around town. I've gotten over it for the most part, but I remember the panicky feeling and not knowing what to say or how to respond.
